With a global vision grounded in Chinese perspective, the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) is continuously expanding its international educational exchanges and partnerships. We have established a wide range of cooperative programs with universities and academic institutions worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Russia. These collaborations are sustained through annual exchanges of faculty and students, encompassing activities such as guest lectures, joint research projects, academic conferences, short-term visits, and overseas internships.
A notable milestone in our internationalization efforts is the Dual Master's Degree Program in Applied Linguistics and Translation/Interpreting, launched jointly with Monash University, Australia, in 2011. The school also regularly hosts distinguished scholars, such as Professor Shi Yuzhi, who serve as visiting or part-time professors, thereby enriching our academic community.
Beyond degree programs, SFL actively engages in teacher training, textbook development, and other educational initiatives with domestic and international partners. To enhance practical learning, we have established a number of off-campus teaching and practice bases in cooperation with institutions such as the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jiangsu Information Institute of Science and Technology, the Administrative Bureau of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, Yilin Press, Jinling Library, and several translation companies, providing students with valuable opportunities for hands-on experience and professional internships.
